I initially bought this to help with pain in my back and knee, but has been a great help with rehabilitation after ACL surgery, the battery life is ok, and they are cheap enough to replace. The only downside to this is it doesnt give you information on pad placement for the EMS, but a quick Google helped me with that, the instructions are pretty clear to help you set the machine up and its easy to change the settings to suit what you want/need.
