This is by far the best out there. Our rug is in a VERY high traffic area with people and a very active dog running all different directions. It will not move on the floor! I was hoping the rug would cling to the pad better but I dont think anyone has come up with one perfect yet (it does shift an inch off the pad after the week) I will be buying more for the rest of the rugs through the house. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Slips over a short time of use... *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2012* A little disappointed that 5x8 area rug pad slips a bit on hardwood floor AND under rug in an a low-traffic area similar to earth's Teutonic plates (am from California, hence the odd analogy), even with a heavy coffee table anchored in its center. Pad starts to peek out from rug edge in fairly short order. Yes, I have trimmed pad to give myself a headstart between its appearances. Have more important things going on in my life (thankfully), than to re-package and return. Will live with it. Otherwise nice thick quality pad.
