The pad slipped a little with the runner rug we use it with. I think it was a combination of the surface of the rug pad and the surface texture of the runner rug. I put a few strips of double-sided tape and the issue was resolved. I have it under a 3' x 10' runner in my foyer. It is thick and provides a good feel when walked on. It holds my runner in place very well-- to normal traffic. However, when my two 70 pound dogs chase each other it does slip but only by shifting a little-- it doesn't go flying all over the place which I think proves how well it works to keep you rug in place. Overall, it does what it is suppose to, is high quality, and not too expensive.
