This completely meets the need. The build quality is excellent and looks and feels authentic. I have coupled it with the large matching GPO Westwood speaker and play records via the Bluetooth link. Both are excellent.A couple of things I've noticed in the last couple of days. If you have the volume turned right down on this the Signal to Noise filter struggles a bit and the audio cuts in and out with a pop at the beginning of a record and in between tracks. Personally I think they should have designed it without this feature and let it crackle! Turn the volume right up and it's not so bad. There is no noise filter if streamed to a Bluetooth speaker as it appears to be digitised raw. Self contained speakers are OK but I prefer using the Westwood and turn the speaker down if I don't want it too loud. Secondly if you listen through the Westwood then put the Ambassador volume to max. Anything less than max and there's a nasty hissing whine coming through the speaker. Again controlling the volume via the Westwood with the Ambassador on max cures this niggle.All in all, I love this already!
