I managed to replace them with these Hella horns without having to remove the bumper. It can be done by just removing the headlights. It is very tight though! Using some spade connectors, I created a wire to go from the horns to the existing wiring, no need to use the relay that comes with the horns in my case which helped make it even easier. I'm no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. Really pleased with these although the new sound is different to what you might expect. All I cared for what the loudness and I got it. Are these weatherproof?** A: Hello Geoff, No they are not weatherproofed when manufactured. You will have to use plastic shrouded blade connectors which should offer some level of protection. If you are using the existing horn wiring circuit and connections on your motorbike. then these may already be fitted with shrouded connectors.
