Review: Very useful for checking temperatures around a large warehouse - I bought this specifically to check temperature differences at various points inside a warehouse, including surfaces at ground level and up near the roof, which is about 25 feet high. For that job it has worked extremely well. It is genuinely point and shoot, gives a reading almost instantly, and the laser makes it easy to see exactly where you are aiming even when checking something quite a distance away. I was able to compare temperatures around the floor, walls and roof structure without having to get a ladder out every time, which made the whole job considerably easier. The readings have been consistent when I have checked the same area more than once, and the display is clear and easy to read. It also feels reasonably solid rather than like a cheap gadget that will fall apart after a few uses. Simple tool, does exactly what I bought it for, and has already saved me a fair bit of messing around. Very happy with it. Review: Excellent quality for the price. - I just had to move so I bought a used mobile home on some land instead of renting and I knew it needed some minor repairs but I had no idea of how bad the previous owner had only fixed it cosmetically instead of properly so with the winters getting longer and much colder I felt cold drafts everywhere but needed to locate them. This cost me less than a pizza and is awesome. Simply point at the area you want to check and pull the trigger and it immediately shows you them temperature of that area. This is a laser pointed device so it will read the temp. where you see the red light at. This has already helped me find the areas where I have been losing heat and letting cold air in and this was essential in helping me get my home weatherized. No need to pay for something high priced. This even came with batteries. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to check the temperature in certain areas. ## Features - 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: Every Etekcity infrared thermometer passes the precise and strict calibration test, so you can accurately measure between -58°–1130°F / -50°–610°C with an accuracy of ±2%. Such as a reading off the chrome exhaust of a motorcycle?** A: You should be able to adjust the emissivity setting to that of chrome (oxidized chrome ~= 0.60-0.85). You'll likely need to calibrate the emissivity for the exact surface condition by adjusting the emissivity until the measurement is equal to the known temp (let your m/c sit in the shade for a while so that the exhaust equalizes to the outside ambient temp). Now you can warm it up and get more accurate values. **Q: Can I use it check the Temp in the pool and how close do I need to be to the water?** A: Yes and it should be accurate at 3 to 4 feet. **Q: I just received my etekcity voltage and thermometer and i cannot get a lazer beam to come out when i pointed it what’s going on have i got a bad one?** A: If your screen display is on and nothing covering laser opening (battery installed correctly), press trigger and no reading, i would say bad. **Q: What case does amazon sell that fits this? it's huge. the case i bought was too small.** A: I kept mine in the original box since it has pre molded casing. Then I wrap the box with clear tape to hold together And longer. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful for checking temperatures around a large warehouse *by C***Y on September 14, 2026* I bought this specifically to check temperature differences at various points inside a warehouse, including surfaces at ground level and up near the roof, which is about 25 feet high.
