Perfect! I immediately tried the item on paper, dark tissue paper, same rubbed in pet jelly, even a petrol soaked piece of hemp string. No light!The glass is well made and works as a magnifying glass but the pinpoint solar focus is difficult to fix and simply doesn't generate enough heat.I tried my trusted old £1 Rolson 2" glass lens with broken plastic handle (hence the upgrade) and fires were started no problem.
