They were really good, and were durable in the freezer and microwave. Near the end they did start chipping. These were quite hard to wash so I usually soaked them in boiling water and then scrubbed them on a weekly basis. They never leaked as they closed well, but the plastic bag would smell a bit if it wasn’t kept upright. The portion size was good and helped me on a diet I had at the time, I was always left full and managed to lose weight. However, I will probably get glass meal prep containers next time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Meal prep essential *by W***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2020* I recently started university and a cost effective way of saving money on food is to plan ahead and meal prep by making one big family sized meal and splitting it into equal portions to eat throughout the week.These containers have been great so far, I’ve made 3 different meals and split them all into 4 portions. I put one in the fridge for the next day and 3 in the freezer to defrost the morning I want it. These containers have lasted very well in the freezer. They are only plastic, but it is evident that they aren’t tacky and are pretty sturdy. They are also microwaveable and after reheating my meal I normally just eat straight out of the container.They only downside to these containers is that I have found them a little but difficult to clean. I normally have to clean them twice to get them ready to use again.I definitely think these are worth buying if you plan to meal prep. I have a few tips for anyone who is going to try it; it is a great way to save money and time.1) Meal sachets. You’ll find these in supermarkets for things like cottage pie and spaghetti bolognese. They’re cheap and easy to use as all you have to do is pick it up, turn it around and get the ingredients it tells you on the back. It tells you how to make the meal and certain brands even give vegan options. I have dozens of these in my cupboard, so whenever I’m down to my last meal, I’ll pick one out and go down to the supermarket. Great for if trying to find recipes stresses you out like me.2) Buy a food probe. Many meals you’ll prep will probably contain meat if you’re not vegan/vegetarian. Reheating meat is risky business, so it’s best to get a temperature probe to make sure you’ve heated the meat up to a safe temperature (80°C is my threshold for reheating meat, just to be sure)3) Mix it up. It can get dull if you eat the same thing 7 days in a row, especially if you’re not too keen on what you made and now you’re stuck with 6 portions of it. I don’t normally eat my meals consecutively. I’ll make other things in between. I suggest you only make 4-5 portions per meal, and as these meal containers container 10 boxes, you could make another meal in between to alternate.4) Check what foods you should and shouldn’t freeze. You can freeze almost anything , but sometimes it can be better to leave certain extras out until you come to eat it.Overall, this product has helped me to save a significant amount of money at dinner time. Those are really cheap for 10 containers, also it's a great quality. Loved its black colour, therefore, you can't see the stain from food much. I have other lunch containers and they're white and it gets stain straight after.Love their size as well. You can put your lunch and the amount is not too much, but not too small. I usually eat a lot and this size helps me to eat the right amount of food that I need.I personally don't bother to have 2 compartments, I'm just that kind of person, rather put more food then have a gap in between!It's microwavable, freezable and you can put in the dishwasher ( Or am I wrong? Oops.)Everyone said it's a great quality box, it looks like you've got a quality takeaways from some kind of fancy restaurant.
