So pleased with results, and no peroxide
L’Oreal hair products I have been using for donkeys yearsHaving my hair blonde from the hair salon, over time got whiter and whiter, and started to drain the colour in my faceMy natural colour is a mid to dark brown, but to be honest never had it that colour since I was 12 years old, so that’s 44 years ago. I am now a 56 year old and want to grow old disgracefully. As mentioned had to get rid of the blonde, I did have about two week regrowth through the blonde ( salon only + toner)Never as yet used a pre lightener personallyNot dyed my hair from a box for years, and was a little nervous not the colour, but starting it myself againThe box in which I bought two packs of the pink is 80ml and in a tubeAs you see in my before and after images, my hair I am growing a bit, is short. My hair this length took one and a half tube.I coloured the front of my hair after combing out any knotsMy husband coloured the backWhen I dyed my hair black, that was simple to doI found colouring blonde with pink, a little more time was needed, as I needed to literally spread the hair all the way through and definitely the ends, and taking care around the ears. Remove earrings also, directions state.I coloured my hair today 16/6/2021So the images are in real time as with reviewSo the colour you see in images has no fade nor been washed since applying, happy to update and see how long it does last. Usually I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. The instructions state colour once then leave two weeks before reapplying.Having used 1:5 tubes, I have saved the other half for next time. Also have the colour on subscription ,next comes in July.Premixed so won’t go ‘off’I like the thought it is not permanent, so can change colours quicker without having to cut air off.Obviously over time I will have to pre lighten my hair as the bleach comes out, but for now it is fine.So in real time now, I have sat on the shower chair, wet my hair, rub it in a minute or so to remove and waken up the colourWASH HAIR IN COLD WATER, washing hair in warm water opens hair follicles up then colour removes quicker. No need at this stage for your own shampoo and conditioner, Colorista has softener already in it.The colour even if applied to roots have not even touched, so roots can be still seen, that doesn’t bother me, as next time will possible do lilac and pink together. So the moment of truth... I am annoyed that my phone supposed to be good on cameras... I have actually gone a deeper shade of pink, my camera showing all the wrong colours..The colour is a deep pin, not lilac at all.** Before colour shown with blonde, then during the colouring process**On washing off, with cold water I did feel a few stinging here and there, had no allergies so farI didn’t do a skin test, which I should have done, however I did test a cut off piece before applying. This is a good way of testing how long to leave on the hair, saves taking it off too early.I am very pleased with the results, even though my photos do not do justiceI was after a change and I got the colour as described. When taking the colour off, does not dye clothes or hands, does come with plastic large gloves, but I never wore themAnother important point, when rinsing hair off, no dye comes out with cold water. Basically it’s shampoo, and rinse clearThank you for reading my review, it is honest, love this product** Thank you to the seller** I hope my review helps, kind regards

Very subtle shade
This product was very easy to use.. and leaves light hair with a very subtle pink sheen.. i made a mistake with it the first time and hadnt washed and dried my hair first.. so put some shampoo in before i rinsed it off.. still had a very subtle pink tinge to it.. so two days later i did it again the proper way and it has added a bit more of a pinky shade but if your looking for something with a lot of pink then maybe this isnt the one.. but if your looking for just a little pinky something then this is perfect.. sort of try before you buy the permanent :))

Great product but too expensive, two bottles wasn’t enough!
Product easy to use, but I purchased two bottles and it still wasn’t enough to saturate my hair. I would of needed 4 bottles. So while I like the product It’s value for money is not good. I would purchase again but I will try other brands in hopes for better value for money. End result is still nice but not what I was hoping for and only due to their not being enough product.

Ok as certain colours
I used the colorista to dip dye my hair pastel pink. Loved it, it's does what it says and lasted around a week (I have light blonde hair and wash it every day) and it's faded really nicely to pastels then disappeared. Perfect for a temporary dye. However when I used the colorista purple (lilac) it went on fine and looked amazing, then when it began to fade it turned a horrible turquoise colour and eventually a disgusting green Tinge was left in my hair. This lasted weeks and weeks! I tried their wash out shampoo, medicated shampoo, washing with vitamin c (I read about it online...) literally everything (even applying blond dye didn't work) it's taken me nearly 3 months to get rid of the green...I love the pink and have used it over and over (even after the purple/green fiasco) but I wouldn't touch the purple again if you paid me!

Lovely colours! However, do colour test your own hair first for each shade.
I've tried two colours - pink and aqua on natural blonde hair. For the best chances of success it can't be recommended enough to please TEST THE COLOUR first on some hair that doesn't show that much. On each packet it is suggested roughly how long it takes to wash out and it takes longer for the aqua to wash out than for the pink. This makes sense if you think about the strength of the different pigments. Pink needed a little longer to take on my hair but does last well - washing every other day it takes about a fortnight to wash out. The blue takes really quickly and needs half the time to colour the hair (five minutes on mine) and takes longer to wash out. If people take the time to test the colour, as the packet suggests, and then think about what would work for their own hair then this product should do the job really well.

Not Recommended - Awful!
Absolutely not recommended.I have balage blonde in my hair which is quite light. Since we're in lockdown and I'm planning to go back to a very dark brunette, I thought I'd use this last opportunity to put a bit of colour in my hair - turned out to be an absolute waste of money and time, and I've basically ruined the look of my hair - hopefully temporarily! Perhaps not though, based on some other reviews.Pros - nice packaging, easy to apply, very little mess.Cons - as soon as they arrived, I could see the first negative, which was that every colour had a different 'lasting time' as per the picture. This means that they will all fade at different times and only gave me one option to apply them if I wanted the unicorny look I brought them for.The pink is absolutely non-existent in my hair, even though I made sure to saturate the hair and left the dye on for 30 mins after applying, which in itself took about 45 mins. The purple is okayish, it's a bit dull and looks like its already faded, despite it only just being applied, but it's okay. The so called 'blue' - this colour is awful- nothing at all like advertised - it's more of a dull grey/green.All in all, a complete waste of money and I'd never touch them again - whatever's left is going in the bin!
