Beiersdorf, a pharmacist, was at work on the bandage when Dr. Oscar Troplowitz took over the lab from the company’s founder in 1890. The bandage adhered, but was irritating to the skin. Troplowitz made a virtue of necessity and, in 1896, launched the first technical adhesive tape. Tesa Ceiling Hook Hanging up a piece of decoration on the ceiling usually calls for tools that will generate considerable dust. The tesa strips self adhesive ceiling hook is the solution. Review: Pretty Good but Expensive. - I'm a bit OCD when it comes to choosing stuff on desertcart and keeping with a theme. My latest order for 6x Tesa ceiling hooks is one of several I've made over the last 18 months. Unlike other reviews, I've found the sticky pads to be of good quality and hold to the ceiling well. I was ever so slightly concerned with some recent reviews who report the sticky pads let these hooks down. As you can see from my photos I use these hooks to hang some expensive models from my Man-Cave ceiling. In fact, the only reason I've deducted a star is because they're blinkin' expensive for what they are. I beleive the price has gone up in the last 6 months and £14 does not sit well with me. These things can only be worth £8-£10 maximum. To put this into perspective, I'm using £84's worth of Tesa hooks to hold up £700's worth of gear! I will be pissed if they fail! PS: they are simple to remove when you realise you can unclip the white plastic component from the clear flat tab.

**Q: Specification says hold up to 500g, want to use for a 700g mosquito net above child's bed. Anyone used it successfully at this weight?**
A: Hi yes it holds heavyer stuff. I have used it for many purposes and my doughter have even pulled their mosquito nest many times. Hope it helps.

**Q: does it work only on smooth surfaces?**
A: Depends what you mean by 'smooth' Oliver. We had a flat in Goa and hung a mozzie net from the ceiling, using just one strip and without more than a quick rub down with a wet cloth. The ceiling was rendered and painted and was certainly not as flat as a tiled surface but it sufficed for a couple of weeks and unpeeled easily enough! Hope this helps.

**Q: Would they stick on a metal beam?**
A: I would have thought so.  I've had mine on the ceiling for a good 6 years and they are still there.

**Q: Would it attach to an Artex ceiling successfully?**
A: Hi sorry but never used it

I’ve always had trouble trying to keep my daughter’s canopy on the ceiling. This hook is brilliant, so easy to put up, very cheap and so far has worked perfectly taking the weight of the canopy.
