I backup to another nas and a usb drive, Backup to the other NAS tends to be slow and the backup to the usb is faster **Q: How does it perform as a Personal Cloud solution accessing it from a remote location / smart phone when out and about?** A: With the smartphone app you can save and access all your files saved on the drive **Q: What are the differences between the my cloud™ home duo and my cloud expert series ex2 ultra?** A: My understanding is that the software lacks some of the features that the EX2 has suck as JBOD, ISCSI support and a few others. The software has been simplified for a Home user rather than a NAS. The Home Duo should still be fine as a media server though and from what I'm told is a bit more secure. ## Frequently Bought Together - WD 8TB My Cloud EX2 Ultra 2-bay NAS - Network Attached Storage RAID, file sync, streaming, media server, with WD Red drives - NETGEAR 5 Port Gigabit Network Switch GS305 - Ethernet Splitter - Ethernet Switch - Ethernet Hub - Plug-and-Play - Silent Operation - Desktop or Wall Mount --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/48531588-wd-8tb-my-cloud-ex2-ultra-2-bay-nas-network](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/48531588-wd-8tb-my-cloud-ex2-ultra-2-bay-nas-network) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
