Review: Kitchen Game-Changer: Stylish and Durable - I am absolutely thrilled with the Nuovva Enamelled Cast Iron Dutch Oven! From the moment it arrived, it has completely transformed my cooking. The 5-quart size is perfect—generous enough for family meals, yet not unwieldy. The enamelled finish is not only stunning in that vibrant red, but it also makes cleaning a breeze. I’ve used it for everything from slow-braised stews to roasting vegetables, baking bread, and even making casseroles—and it excels every time. Heat distribution is superb; nothing burns or sticks, and the lid seals in moisture beautifully, leaving dishes tender and full of flavour. Oven-safe up to 500°F, it’s versatile for both stovetop and oven cooking. It’s also incredibly durable—I can tell this is a piece that will last for decades if cared for properly. Stylish, functional, and a joy to use, the Nuovva Dutch Oven is worth every penny. Cooking in it feels like a real upgrade to your kitchen arsenal. Highly, highly recommended!
Review: This Casserole Has Replaced My Frying Pan! - I bought this casserole dish when I saw an MSN article saying it was on offer on desertcart and an influencer recommended it - I didn't buy it on the strength of an influencer's say-so, by the way! Now I do have another casserole dish. I've had it for years and it's mostly been great (it was given to me years ago and structurally there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not as big as I'd like and sometimes the sauce inside overflows in the oven), so I decided to get this dish for a few reasons. Firstly, it's about double the size of my existing casserole dish, so there's plenty of room in it for whatever I'm cooking. Secondly, because it's enamelled cast iron, I can use it on the hob when I need to pre-cook things - for example, sealing chicken breasts before transferring to the oven and then put it straight into the oven to finish cooking. Thirdly, it cleans up really easily afterwards - I've only had one occasion where I needed a bit more elbow grease than usual to clean it up and that was because I added a fair bit of Balsamic vinegar into my cooking, and lastly, I was able to choose a colour that went with our kitchen (the dark blue one). I would say you can't go far wrong if you decide to buy this casserole dish, but you do have to treat it with respect and this is because the lip of the dish and lid are NOT enamelled. This means that if you leave it to soak overnight or don't dry it up as soon as you've washed it you could run the risk of rusting setting in, which will ruin it. There's an instruction booklet that comes with the dish and that's explained in there and I've seen a few reviews where people have given it a low star rating because they've said it's gone rusty, but I think that could be because they didn't read the instructions and treat it with proper care - if you feel you need to soak it please do be super careful to NOT leave it overnight and DON'T leave it to air-dry after washing up - I dry mine mine with kitchen roll (it's a me thing. I can't stand tea towels), making sure it's bone-dry and that there's no possible shredded bits of kitchen roll left on it, so there's no chance any dampness can be left on it. I love the size of this dish as well. Since buying and starting to use it there have been no instances of overboiling in the oven and I really can't recommend it enough, because if something is stopping us having to clean the oven because nothing bubbles over to dirty it, it can only be good, can't it? I cook for two of us, so the portion sizes I make are fine. Another thing I have to add here is that it has a fair bit of heft behind it and you could easily use it for home workouts if you don't have a barbell! Just don't do that with your food inside it!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Inner diameter?**
A: Hi Because of the taper from lid to base the top diameter is 23.5cm, and the diameter at the base is 20cm. Hope this helps.

**Q: What is the lead and cadmium content in enamel?**
A: I've read that the composition of these heavy pots include metals such as nickel, lead, cadmium, and chromium. However, the levels are nor considered to be toxic.

**Q: Could this be used on a bbq**
A: I would have thought so. It's much stronger and heavier than I thought it would be for the price.

**Q: How heavy is this**
A: Have not actually weighed the pot but it is a solid heavy pot. Older people may struggle to lift the pot when full.

Only used once so far but its a great little oven. Looks and feels of great quality and love the teal colour too. Cooked my first ever loaf in it and was really impressed with the results. Comes with booklets on how to care for it and includes bread recipes. Definitely recommend. I would also absolutely look at this brand when needing other products.
