Also I was supplied with the incorrect type despite the photo showing the correct type! As it’s for a different make of machine check thread size also. You may have know this so sorry if it sounds patronising. **Q: Will this fit a delonghi ecp33.21?** A: Yes, took me around an hour to fit and was a bit tricky but its on and works great **Q: Will this fit smeg ECF01 espresso machine?** A: It does with a little "trimming" of the housing and is INCREDIBLY difficult to do, it's not worth the risk in my opinion. Just get one of those superb twist-on stainless steel single-hole replacements from here. My ECF01 has been transformed and is now as good as my old Sage was ;-) **Q: Hi, The model Gaggia Classic 2014 has the connection slightly internal inside the outer shell, how best to strip it to get o the connection?** A: I fitted it to a Gaggia Baby Twin so can't speak about the Classic but it did need the machine to be dismantled to get at the connection which was pretty straightforward. I found a video on the web which went through the replacement step by step and there were plenty of forums and advice pages on converting a Classic so you should find a guide there.. As for the wand it takes a couple of tries to get used to it - a couple of drops of washing up liquid in milk jug of water is a lot cheaper and easier to see what is going on than milk for practising and after a couple of goes it is a doddle. It gives good foam every time, heats up the milk quickly and is easier to both use and clean. A dental floss brush is useful for keeping the inside of the spout clear between more thorough cleanings ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST upgrade for a Gaggia Classic! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 June 2017* First Impressions; Strong, looks good! What's in the box;- WandWhat I love;+ 100000000000x better than the factory wand!+ Fits Gaggia Classic with ease!+ The best ever upgrade for a Gaggia Classic!+ Incredibly Powerful+ Buy it for yourself and find out! What could be improved;- Nothing, I truly love it, why didn’t I upgrade sooner? Conclusion; This is the most amazing upgrade for a Gaggia Classic, you will need a spanner to fit it, but you will not regret buying it! If you’re already good at Latte art with the factory wand, you will be a pro with this wand! Nothing else to say really, have a look at my pictures and see for yourself!I hope this review helped you make a decision, if you have any questions then do not hesitate to ask! :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ amazing modification *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 December 2023* For anyone wishing to modify their delonghi steaming wand - this is an amazing piece. Does a great job for its price and turned out to even speed up the steaming process. The tip was a little hard to unscrew when taking the nut off, so make sure you have a key. You do need to take apart your coffee machine to install it, but there’s a youtube video by Tom’s Coffee Corner where he puts it in and explains the process along the way which was turned out to be very helpful. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and the results ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Frothing goodness *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 July 2015* I love my Gassia Classic; it's a coffee beast. I didn't think it could be improved but this cheap and simple modification has made it even better. I would almost say this is an essential upgrade to the steam wand which comes as standard. It's not difficult to get great results with the wand and there are a couple of videos on YouTube which guide you through the installation as well as how to get the perfect results once it's on. Very pleased with the purchase and the results. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rancilio Silvia (V1/V2) Steam Wand - IMS Precision Nanotech 50.5mm Shower Screen DL200NT for Delonghi and other espresso machines - IMS Precision 16-18g Filter Basket compatible with Delonghi La Specialista, DL2TH26E --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/48818649-rancilio-silvia-v1-v2-steam-wand](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/48818649-rancilio-silvia-v1-v2-steam-wand) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
