Not tried on an iron yet. But I did try something similar on my coffee machine and that damaged it. I would not advice on the iron as it might do the same. But it’s great on Steel kettles. Maybe work on glass ones too. **Q: Can this be used on baby bottle electric sterilisers?** A: Check your manufacturer's instructions first as it may give you the recommended alternative. To descale a kettle you need 100ml, it's not as concentrated as the sachets. There are some advantages... It's safer, being less concentrated. It's easy to use and store. You can decide how much you need. When I descale a kettle I don't get obsessed by poisoning the next person to use it or spoiling the taste. Apply, rinse, boil, rinse is all you need to do to make the kettle ready for use. Cons: The pouring spout is squeezy, no air intake... if you try to use only a drop, other drops will splatter the surrounding area when you turn the bottle upright.
