On Zoom calls, my skin always looked orange under the overhead (ceiling) light. This is a lot kinder on the eyes (as it feels natural rather than harsh) and it does look as if you are in daylight. Love the fact that it can clamp onto anything - I had it set up in 2 minutes on the edge of my desk. This lamp is great at my desk. Nice bright white at the brightest setting. It's not harsh white light and it's easy on the eyes. Lower settings vary from a warm dim white upwards. The clip for attaching it is really sturdy and easy to use too.
