THe envelope is quite large, so it may be too big. **Q: are these dimmable** A: No, this is a bulb for use in your Oven. Check out Philips Hue and Philips LED products for dimmable house lighting options. **Q: Can this be installed in an oven as a replacement for the "Straight" shape bulb (also E14 but different shape) that was originally fitted there?** A: Technically if the same thread type exists it will fit. About every 4-6 months they just seem to pop. You can easily see the filament has just broken away from the connecting road and thus brakes the circuit. I wish there was an LED alternative, but alas I've not found one yet. So I tend to buy two, keep one safe and then when they go, order up another set. Other than that, they are pretty good. A little yellow tint, but nothing unexpected. Arrived quick as per Prime expectations.
