All you do is take the two parts of the hoop apart which is very easy. You have a tightener on the side. You then place the one side on a flat surface, lay your fabric on top, then place the other part of the hoop on top. Pushing down with a little force so it fits tightly inside the bottom hoop. This will then give you a very straight and taught piece of fabric to work on when either sewing into or painting onto. Anything you want to do to your fabric. I also used this hoop for water soluble fabric which I was a bit weary about at first as the soluble fabric is very thin and I thought it might break when pressing down the inner hoop but it never.I would recommend this product to many people who do a lot of machine embroidery or free hand sewing on various fabrics. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product, especially for the price *by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 June 2019* The hoop is really sturdy with a good firm screw clip.
