In saying that, it does the job well. The only downside is that after two years, my original one rusted solid so the barrel wouldn't turn. It isn't the best quality, but I do live about 100ft from the sea. When installing, I packed it full of molybdenum grease to stop this happening again. Remember, you won't be using this much so it may happen to you also. Another thing I had to do when installing was to pack out the back of my garage door with wooden blocks to give some reinforcement to the back of the door once the whole is cut, then pass the attaching screws through them. Overall, I bought another one so that should tell you it works and I am happy with it. There's certainly plenty to spare on my garage door **Q: Do you fit this to the wall or to the garage door?** A: This fits to the garage door and connects to the door opener. When you put the key in the lock, the lock pulls out towards you - when the pull the lock all the way out it disengages the door opener mechanism from from garage door and you can open the door manually.
