You get what you pay for Will do the job for cake batter but would hesitate to be using them on a tub of normal ice cream for fear of them breaking under the pressure That said I think they would be okay to use for cake batter and dough ( I used them to scoop different coloured cake batter for multicoloured Zebra cake ) Plus I needed mine in a hurry for daughters birthday. I had great difficulty in finding the correct size scoops (Who knew how difficult it was to find spring loaded ice cream scoops that hold 4 tablespoons 2 tablespoons and one tablespoon (These scoops sort of do I measure them with a flood oz cup with water but in hind sight this was not as heavy as cake batter , so this is something to bear in mind My cake didn't come out as stripy Colours merged together because of probable incorrect size . If anyone finds a company who sells these spring loaded ice cream scoops that actually say how many tablespoons of cake batter is held in them please leave feed back on here as I trawled the internet to no avail and therefore took a chance with these Next time I make this cake will have to allow more time and try and get the correct size scoops. They are cheaply made , this is evident when you open them up but they will do the job for a while In my opinion If your going to be using these a lot invest in decent ones. Norpro looked okay to me but didn't have any more time to research them for correct sizing Nisbett were helpful but cost was going to be too high if they were wrong size and had to return. As i said time was of the essence for my daughters birthday cake Look forward to seeing if any body finds sturdier ones that tell you how many tablespoons of cake batter these scoops hold

I very rarely find I have to write poor reviews on products I purchase via Amazon but on this occasion I urge you NOT to purchase this set of scoops. They are cheap and they don't work. They definitely come under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act as 'not fit for purpose'.I ordered these on the 8th April and on the 26th April I had to start chasing to find out where the order was. A few days later the scoops arrived. They were in a bubble envelope with a customs stamp all over it (from China I believe) and inside 3 packets with the scoops and the plastic crumpled. On taking the scoops out of their minimal packaging, the immediate thing I noticed was that the lever handles where very sticky and clicky (for want of a better description). They were very lightweight and not very comfortable in my clasp.I initially bought these to use for evenly distributing cup cake mixture into cases but as it turned out, it was a hot day in May and the kids wanted ice cream. So, I decided to use them for the purpose they were intended for. As I placed the medium sized scoop in the ice cream and drew it across the tub, it kept catching and then, as I used the lever to release the ice cream, the blade in the inner circle literally flew off. On closer inspection, it was lightly stuck on to the inside of the scoop. Then when I released the handle, the whole spring system came apart.Now, you could put that down to bad luck, or a faulty batch but I thought I would try out the other two and exactly the same thing happened. So, not only had I waited far too long to receive this scoops, but then when I did, they all broke.Prior to this happening, I left feedback for the seller in terms of delivery and I was very quickly emailed back informing me of their problems with customs, and issues with other shipments they had and other electrical products going missing and blah blah blah (war and peace with incredibly poor English) and then asked (actually, begged) me to remove my feedback as it would "I would like to ask your kind help, I wish your kind consideration to remove the negative feedback. We are so frustrate to receive a negative feedback, it’s so important to a Amazon seller, and will be a fatal to our performance. Life is not easy for everyone, as a Amazon seller, I take every possible care to maintain our performance, to support our family with children. I wish you could consider to remove the negative feedback. Kindly review again"Suffice to say I will not as I do not want anyone who trusts Amazon and the review within (as I do) to have the same experience.Oh, and if that wasn't enough, once the items broke and I emailed them to request a refund they were incredibly quick to refund my money which I am very grateful for but it came alongside an additional request of "I wish you could consider to remove the negative feedback. Kindly consider again".In my personal opinion (if it's worth anything) is please, don't buy this. The seller clearly wanted to disguise their poor service in order to mislead other purchasers. The product was cheap, the delivery timescale was not acceptable, and the guilt trip to remove feedback was unprofessional.

These are great for making standard size cookies. I made some peanut butter cookies recently and the cookie scoops helped make the whole process less sticky and messy. The nice round shapes were so regular that someone I gave one to asked if they were shop-bought! Good to have 3 different sizes too.You have to be careful to make sure you clean them properly.

Items not very strong one broke on inspection but bent back to shape , bit tacky and cheap

I'm very impressed, I ordered these from here but forgot to cancel the individual one I ordered from morrisons. The one from morrisons turned up and was exactly the same but was around £5 for 1 and in this set you get three different types.They are fantastic for the price and great for portioning up cakes cookie dough or icecream. Don't put in dishwasher, best to hand wash. Don't use on icecream that's too hard. Or they could break.

I order my scoops for cupcakes/fairy cake making and they are doing the job. The are not the most sturdy one in the market and struggle with hard ice-cream, but for putting batter in cupcakes cases to get same measurement they do the work. They took a very long time to come as was not made clear was not dispatched from uk, but from china so 6 weeks wait

You get what you pay for with these. I ordered them for portioning cake batter when making cupcakes. The mechanism on one scoop looks like it won't last very long and often I have to squeeze the scoop more than once to release the batter. In future I will probably buy another scoop but for now these are doing the job and for the amount of cakes I am making they will do for now.
