A liquid is better absorbed than tablets which is good. These 2 go together as a pairing, & need to be kept in the right ratio, so this is far better than a single supplement. These are the two which I am low on, and indeed, most people are low in magnesium. Its far better, also, to take calcium this way, as there are problems with absorption when you get it in milk.
