It can work with and without bluetooth connectivity, does all the basic pencil writing/editing, and feels and functions well. With bluetooth switched on, its button can be defined with three functions and can be defined to work with specific apps such as procreate. The limitations include only USBC charging, so magnetic attachment to iPad M2, and being a little thicker than pencil pro. The company advised that they have no plans to produce a pen similar to the pro because of confidentiality with the new apple design. The A11 does not work on bluetooth at the same time as the pencil pro, and it just stops working when the pro is connected. However, switching off bluetooth will allow A11 basic functionality but not anything defined with its button. You can forget the pro on bluetooth to allow A11 full functionality, or if the pro is not in the vicinity then A11 will just kick in as the pro will not connect. I also tested the A8 Air at the time, but returned it and kept the A11. The former does only the basic functionality as the A11 so no bluetooth connectivity, but allows a much longer battery life (20 hours vs 8). It is also a third lighter than the A11. Overall, The A11 is a good substitute to the pro at a lower cost (£16 in the sale when purchased).
