I personally hold the Dishonoured Franchise in the same regard as Bioshock (The Original And Infinite, Not 2) Even with todays triple AAA blockbusters with astonishing visuals I still find myself returning to Dishonoured 1 & 2, good visuals, interesting characters and multi-layered levels. This book out of the thirty plus I own may be my favourite. The Art Of Prey book is also very good. The artists at Arcane Studios produce some incredibly stylish images, combining classic materials with knowledge of modern design to produce extravagantly opulent structures. This is yet another impeccable entry from Dark Horse, some people complain about the lack of 3D rendered images but I personally prefer the drawings/paintings/art-work. Astonishing images of the beautiful Mediterranean environments and the elegant multifaceted characters. The designs of the characters could be interpreted as a commentary on class structure. Each social class has a unique silhouette. The everyman grunt on the street wear corresponding hierarchy issued smart uniforms. But they speak in a harsh tone and have weathered faces in comparison to the officers who speak clearer and carry themselves better. Jindosh's meticulous appearance and sharp analytical gaze gives him an air of superiority and with his dizzyingly high intellect and expensive tastes leave the player feeling less than him. I personally would consider £40 quite a lot but considering the quality of both the product and content within if you're a Dishonoured fan and have the opportunity to purchase this book do not hesitate to do so, a must have. From the evolving art styles of an NPC over decades to the design of keyboards and train-cars you'll be swimming in style, skill and stunning pieces of art that spark the origin of the game world in the game.
