The concave bowl design on the top of the protector cup keeps wheels locked in place while the heavy-duty rubber O-ring bottom protects floors and prevents slipping, sliding or scratching. Ideal for wheeled furniture like: end tables, cribs, antique sewing machines, pianos, metal or iron legs, headboards, etc. Installation is instant – just place the protector dock beneath the furniture wheel or leg for a non-slip hold. No screws, nails or adhesive required. 4 protector cups per order. Safety Warning Do not exceed the load capacity of 3100 lbs per caster cup. when I first saw them, I thought they would be too small and shallow to prevent the chair from moving or jumping out of the cups. But they are great. The chair doesn't move at all, so far it hasn't come out of the cups, and they are small and unobtrusive so don't detract from the appearance. Very pleased and surprised, as I've tried three or four other types of foot pads to keep the chair in one place!
