The bread comes out of my machine beautifully soft and with a decent crust. Allowed to cool (always difficult with freshly baked bread, when the aroma just begs for you to eat it), it cuts well and makes great sandwiches, bread and butter or toast. So easy to use, it makes bread making simple.I always add a small amount of olive oil, as directed, and it helps give a depth of flavour to the bread as well as added softness. I store it in an airtight container for freshness, albeit at the expense of that gloriously crusty exterior - if you like crusty bread, keep it cut side down on a work surface, protected by a net. It cuts better the day after it has been baked - if you can wait that long.Edit September 2021After a long time of stock being unavailable, I finally managed to get some more. My first loaf was smaller, more dense and saltier than I have become used to with the alternative mixes I have needed to source over the last year. But it is better than those alternatives - using up my other packets I realised the other bread has less substance, is more prone to air pockets and just doesn’t taste quite so good. The Balcheldre bread cuts beautifully all through the loaf, doesn’t tend to have any air pockets and, whilst it doesn’t rise so high, that does make for a better loaf and slices that fit more readily in the toaster (if it doesn’t all get used for sandwiches as it is so moreish when freshly baked). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Flour de Bliss *by S***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2017* I lurve this Bread mix. I also love the Rustic Crunch Bread mix too. I have tried the White Bread mix, but I'm not so keen on that, but that is a personal preference and nothing to do with the excellent quality of the Bread mix.I'm using a VonShef Bread making machine and whatever Bacheldre Bread mix I use, I have had consistent results time and again. They all go in on the Basic setting for 3Hours + 30-40 mins on "keep warm". I use to add Flora quisine/Light touch but found 3Tsp - (as per the instructions. That's TEA spoons(Tsp), NOT Tablespoons (Tbsp) that other reviewers have had failures with!) of Olive Oil was much better.PRO's; Consistent results, tastes really good and only takes 3Hrs to make.CON's; It would be nice to "mix 'n match", i.e. 5packs of one + 5packs of another instead of 10 packs of each (I like to alternate). Preparation and start can be completed in 5 minutes. Flavour very good. Texture very good. Using my bread machine the bread can be cooked in either 2 or 4 hours depending on menu chosen.
