AudioQuest Cinnamon Digital Coax 75 Ohm RCA Digital Cable Package Contents: 1 Cable While silver-coated copper is a disaster for analog full-range signals, its performance is outstanding in the digital field. Because digital signals move exclusively on the surface of the conductor, silver coating is very close to the performance of a 100% silver conductor - at a fraction of the cost. The Cinnamon has a silver content of 1.25 percent of the conductor metal, which accordingly reduces distortion and improves sound. All cables in the range are equipped with AudioQuest's highly effective Noise Dissipation System (NDS). Common cable shielding absorbs noise and RF energy and then directs it to the component ground, modulating and distorting the critical reference ground surface. The use of alternating layers of metal and carbon-containing plastics in the NDS "shields the shield" and absorbs and reflects most of this energy before it reaches the layer connected to the ground. The higher the number of NDS layers, the greater the protection against such eddy currents on the ground surface and the better the sound, for this the Cinnamon was given the metal layer NDS.
