The binding is sound, there's a nice bellows envelope onside to hold loose papers. Two ribbons serve as excellent page markers. Don't forget to note the different paper designs -- you can get various layouts including blank, ruled, wide ruled, quarter inch grid, metric grid, and more, plus my favorite, the dot matrix. This one gives you enough of a hint of organization that you can write neatly and sketch kitchen plans or office layout, but it doesn't overwhelm you and leave you a sobbing insecure writer dominated by a notebook grid. (Yes, it happens.) The cover is durable, the binding endures, and the pages are numbered.
