I finally tossed all of it into the trash. Thankfully TabCat came out with a newer version, bought that, again, I do like this product. **Q: Does it need a sim card on it to work?** A: No SIM card needed. Before my cats all moved inside I just needed to change the batteries every 60 to 90 days. **Q: The original tag was lost & can't sync replacement because I can't deactivate a lost tag.
