The first one I ordered was a pink one, and it was clean, don't remember if it was sealed in plastic wrap. The second time I ordered a baby blue one, it came with hair in it, I returned it. **Q: Can I use this brush to blow dry my hair** A: I've had the same one for 20 years, and it's fine after years of hair drying. My mother has multiples... She has used them, when blow drying her hair, DAILY, for 35+years! They have minimal problem. My only suggestion would be to make sure you don't place them directly under the hairdryer in a manner in which the bristles could directly touch the elements. You'll melt or warp the clear bristles. (A school friend borrowed one of our brushes, and accidentally did this). Yes it is a lot of money ,but if you were to go to a salon for a treatment you could easily spend that kind of money. This brush will give you daily treatment for years. The very first time I used it, I saw the value. My hair oils were being transferred to the ends of my long hair. I love it. The only trick is knowing which version of the brush to buy. Lucky for me I made the right choice.
