When all adjusted the trousers are just baggy enough to nicely fit over the regular trousers, and allow for all the movements that a toddler needs to feely run around. The cuffs are elasticated too, and elastic enough to fit over wellies. The trousers are high, well above the waist level, which prevents the water getting under the coat above the waist level. Great for using slides after the rain :) EFFECTIVENESS: Never got a wet bottom when using these :) Cannot recommend enough. Granted, they are most likely not breathable, but would you really expect this for the price? DURABILITY: Material seems very durable but at the same time very soft and flexible. Used several times and haven't had a problem yet. They are pretty thick, and in the winter I usually put lined trousers on my little one as well to keep him cosy. **Q: What size would i have to get for a 4 Yr old** A: If you click on the size guide you will get all the info re. recommended sizes, plus length and waist etc. I bought size 116 for a large 3 yr old - the bottom of the legs are elasticated so even if they are slightly too long they can be rolled. Thank you ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Waterproof *by K***D on 19 October 2025* Absolutely amazing order more each time they grow out of old ones 😀 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant *by T***A on 23 August 2014* I got these dungarees / rain pants for my four-year old son, who loves splashing in puddles.. I got them in 5-6 years' size so that he could get at least a year's wear out of them. They are a bit big for him, as expected, but not overly so - meaning that what with the scrunched up, elasticated cuffs at the bottom, the buttons at the side (to adjust the fit at waist level), and the adjustable suspenders, the pants fit him nicely and I expect they will fit him well for a good while yet. I love the soft, yet strong feel of the waterproof material, the vibrant colour, and the reflective strips. They also come with some elastic, adjustable bands to be used under boots' soles, to make sure the pant legs don't ride up, if the kids wear them out, but we seem to have misplaced one (I may contact the seller to see if I can get a spare one; will update if I get a response).. In any case, my son tucks the pants inside his wellies, or just wears them loose over the boots - no problem, anyway. We love these pants.! He stays dry and he loves wearing them, so fit for purpose and cool-looking...
