It’s sturdy as is the handle this was a concern for me but it’s solid. I personally haven’t used it in the microwave or a dishwasher but it is meant to be safe for both so I’ll assume that it is? My BIG issue that weren’t mentioned in the product review & I didn’t see it mentioned in fellow customer reviews was if it would be alright with boiling water poured straight into it & the result (as pictured) is yes it’s absolutely fine with boiling water being poured straight into it (I use it for tea in a Thermos amongst other things) it’s a fine jug, it does its job well. On the outside, on the side, are tbsp and tsp **Q: What incremental units does it measure in? 5 10 or 20ml?** A: Hi, There are two choices, one side from 0 - 8 fl.ozs in 1 fl.oz increments, the other from 0 - 250 ml in 10 ml increments as far as 100 ml. but then only 50 ml units after that. Hope that helps. **Q: Does anyone know if this is heat proof? If I'm wanting to pour hot water in, not interested if it's microwave proof as don't use one!
