## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars

Good intro to a broad topic

The middle game of chess is, obviously, a mammoth topic. There is so much to say and teach that no single DVD could do it justice. From the outset Aagard makes it clear he is not trying to cover middlegame exhaustively. What he sets out to do (and does well) is cover a few basic topics, such as weak squares and positional play. He then presents a variety of positions and challenges the user to make the next move. For each one he then discusses what move was made and why. I found it all really helpful (I play ~1400 level), as my knowledge of chess is somewhat rudimentary.
