The inbuilt speaker also has decent sound (however, I have connected to external speaker to get some stereo sound) and with a controlling switch we can enjoy either music from inbuilt speaker or from external speaker if we can fit one instead). I would have liked an important feature which is missing here -a volume control knob on the player. Though the remote control have the volume control buttons but whenever we play CD first time, the output sound starts with high volume, and we had to keep the remote control ready in hand to reduce the sound to normal level.
