It was a simple fix and only took a few minutes. The price of the replacement battery is way less expensive than buying a new thermostat. ### ⭐ SUCKED *by J***B on November 7, 2023* There was no way to tell if the battery was charged or not. Spent 6 hours on the phone with nest and finally told they would send a replacement. After reading reviews on Nest replacement policies, I ordered this battery and still entered the fall without the use of my furnace. I finally went out and bought a 25.00 Honeywell thermostat from Walmart and hooed it up w/out a problem. Wasted money! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works for Nest *by M***6 on July 20, 2023* The battery works just fine for my nest thermostat 3rd gen, time will tell longevity. The problem was getting the factory installed battery out, it was glued to the unit, I had to use force and I ended up hitting the screen on the table and now there is a crack on the screen. Thankfully it still works.
