I bought two and used a 130mm lens bracket and this is rock solid glued and screwed to a big 50cm sq of 6mm thickness acrylic. The plates are only about 5mm thick but look well made. **Q: How does this work, do you fix it to the tripod first then attached the board or drill a hole through the board then attach it afterwards?** A: Screw it to the centre of your drawing board or stretcher board and using the standard tripod 1/4"  thread in the centre of the adaptor fix it to your camera or video tripod. The adapter has a standard thread to fit camera tripod screws **Q: How heavy/what dimension pocharde box would this safely support please?** A: I use it with a 10"x12" pochade box with which it works well. It will probably work with a larger box 12"x16" maybe, however you might require slightly longer screws. I had to add a piece of external plywood to the bottom of my box had I not done so the screws securing the plate would have pierced the box. I found it to be a good solution however expensive as I've know them previously sold at £9.99 **Q: Hi there!
