My Trader’s Journal 2012: Including More Than 100 Real Option Trades Using Covered Calls, Naked Puts and Option Spreads Paperback – February 14, 2013

I like this style of book that shows real experiences and not someone's theory of what should work. I've been trading options for a few years and needed another viewpoint to teach me something new. This book met that need. He has a conversational writing style that's easy to read and understand. Alex clearly knows options. This book fit what I was looking for and I think my trading will improve using some of his trade setups. It's hard to argue with documented success. I recommend this book for anyone that wants to further their options education.You might want to check out "Selling Puts Options My Way" too. It's written from the same viewpoint of experience, but with a different risk approach.

How refreshing to see and read a book based on all of the authors trades made in 2012. I would really like to see more books like this as learning strategies based on made up numbers is not nearly effective as the real deal. We get to join the author on the ups and downs on how his trading went. This also includes the 'human' element of trading. What you also will get out of this book is what YOU should be doing when trading. Writing a trading journal is one of the most overlooked mistakes traders make.Enjoy this book as there really isn't enough like these out here.

For those considering jumping into the market or for those already making investments, this book offers the reader the opportunity to see how a top-notch trader observes the market and then, based on those observations and the analysis that follows, why he makes his real option trades. It's not often that one is offered such a detailed account of the thinking which leads to a trader's decisions, but this book does exactly that. Although it's tempting to go immediately to the book's conclusion to see how Mr. Fotopoulos fared in the market over a twelve month time frame, I decided that the better approach would be to read the book, chapter by chapter, and I was glad I did.
