Please be aware that Springfield use's a LPA cut with very tight tolerances. I recommend that you use a quality sight pusher, as you will be unlikely move your sight or install the mount, which is a precise fit. **Q: I have a Springfield range officer 9mm non adjustable rear sight will this mount fit that.** A: Yes **Q: Will this fit a taurus full size 1911?** A: I have a full size Springfield 1911 and it did not work the dovetail is to big **Q: I have a springfield range officer elite (adjustable rear sight). will this mount fit?** A: First, let me state, I'm not a gunsmith. Depending upon which model of the RO Elite you have, this may or may not fit. I have an early model RO which came with an adjustable sight similar to that on the RO Elite Target model. The mount fit tightly into the dovetail groove in the slide without any sanding. I only used light oil as a lubricant. The mount enabled me to mount the Vortex Venom optic which I'll be using both for bullseye shooting and concealed carry. With the top of the slide being rounded, the mount does overhang slightly but, in my opinion, not enough to notice. One other thing to note, the back of the mount will be flush with the back of the slide. This may present a problem if you ever need to remove your firing pin. The firing pin is kept in place by a block which needs to be removed from the top of the slide. I'll add some photos to my initial review that will show you what I mean.
