This came with a piece of the same coloured 'thread' tied round to hold it in place while in transit and I was a little reluctant to cut it as I didn't know if it would turn out to be part of the whole thing so if that could be a different colour it might help with feeling confident about cutting it off. I didn't want to force it open so for a while I just had it half open until I took another look at the photo and saw that it must open further so I tried a little harder and it opened fully and at that point I became seriously impressed. The birds and hearts have a kind of shiny splash of a kind of glitter but it's not exactly glitter. It catches the light well. The bells hanging underneath each heard and bird are quite substantial and I think it is this that sets it all off well. When it spins they all splay out and are very eye-catching but not literally thank goodness. I have got this hung in the window indoors and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
