Food tastes good again, no metallic taste, highly recommend. (properly) or does it move loosely ?** A: It is not a tight fit but sits on the pan itself and is held secure by its weight. It would not be possible to have a tight seal as both pieces are manufactured from glass. The lid does not lift when simmering, only if the contents are subjected to heavy boiling. We have used glass saucepans etc for +35 years and have found them to be superior to metal pans as, if kept properly, they do not stain, and they keep their non-stick properties if not subjected to over-heating. Lovely packaging though! *by A***A on 6 November 2024* This came with what appears to be authentic packaging/box. However, buyer beware, because the pot cracked...dangerously after around 5 months! Thankfully and strangely, it cracked whilst empty(!) on the kitchen surface. Found this so odd as there was no sudden temperature change, when a long crack appeared running along the base and up one side of the pot. Took it carefully to the sink, whereupon lifting it and setting it down in the empty sink, prompted the crack to fully split the pot into two halves. Very disappointed to have spent good money on this for nothing. The lid went shortly before this, as it doesn't fit the pot properly - as though it were made mass production to make a complete item/look. It slid off the pot as I moved it from A to B in the kitchen, hit the floor and smashed.
