About the Author



Award-winning and New York Times bestselling author and games designer Matt Forbeck has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since he was 13. After gaining his degree in creative writing from the University of Michigan, Matt embarked on a prolific writing career which included working with the late legendary D&D co-inventor Gary Gygax.     Beautiful, but not what was expected

This is a beautiful book, but poorly described and not at all suitable for the intended recipient - it is a pop-up book and does not appear to have much detail included for an experienced GM.  I've had to return it, but unfortunately not before inflicting great disappointment.

Bought this book for my 10 year old son for his birthday.  He loves it but it's definitely a kids book, a good introduction to Dungeons and Dragons and the Forgotten Realms.  It looks great as a book with many good illustrations.
