A little fiddly to use as you have to create a starter to get the yeast ready to be introduced to the main brew. Pretty simple really & only needs to be left for about 20 mins before you can use it. Great results & allows a very high alcohol content (there are photos out there of me falling over drunk after a couple or 3 pints). Highly recommended!

**Q: Do the sachets have a use by date? I want to buy bulk but dont want to find out they al need using by the end of the year. Thanks**
A: Julia - thank you for your question. We work directly with Lallemand, hence our yeasts are always fresh! On average, our yeasts have 1 to 2 years of expiration left. Our current batch of 71B expires January 2026. So you will have plenty of time to use these packets. 
As well, Lalvin yeasts are very robust and many costumers keeep using them past their expiry date. You can extend the yeast ability to ferment by keeping them on your refrigerator or making sure it never exceeds 15c temperature.
