It folds in too much and the side pouches aren't that deep. It's made out of cheap felt you would find at a fabric store, which isn't too bothersome as no one sees it but me. The trick is in folding the item in half, put it in and expand it once it is fully inside.I do not carry many things on my bag to require an “organizer” however, the lack of “stuff” made the bag look weird, even using a base shaper still made it look awkward. I like that this shaper makes the bag preserve it’s shape because the organizer fills it almost to the top. It’s the best one I’ve found, though I did modify it. Other organizers are not tall enough or wide enough to fill the whole purse, or they have the Velcro pieces. For this organizer, I unhemmed and took out the right section and turned the whole thing inside out. This left one big area with a few outside pockets. I don’t carry a lot of stuff, so it works. It fills out the outside of the purse (which is a must for me- no sagging) and there are still plenty of pockets along the outside of the organizer.
