I do the same with my edibles..herbs, etc. I alternate and use a safe for organic gardening, "Captain Jack's Insecticidal Super Soap". So far...pretty good results, but I've found you must be persistent as these pests reappear with untreated foliage growth as well as after any rain or what have you.It's important for any product I use to be safe for wildlife and humans. I maintain hummingbird feeders and I don't t want to harm them. I spray after dark when they're unlikely to feed..as the odor is strong and can repel the hummingbirds. I also avoid spraying blossoms.It can be so disheartening when you invest your time and energy growing things only to have insatiable insects destroy it. Neem oil has really reversed that for me! Also, I don't get eaten up by mosquitoes like I did...so another big bonus... repels them too! I spray a mist of it right around the cuff of my gardening pants...helps a lot as I'm a mosquito magnet.
