If you are dressmaking, softfurnishing or hobby making, no problem. If you want to fill your bobbin for embroidery then it is a definite no. Bobbin fill which is a very fine polyester or cotton thread is the thread recommended unless you want to make stand alone coloured lace then you will fill the bobbin with the same thread as the top thread. TIP...I use Moon coloured thread to match my fabric in the serger left needle......and use white or black cones in looked a etc... **Q: How tall is the bobbin please as my machine will only take 6cm high thank you ?** A: They are almost 8 cm high. If you put a cup/ mug at the back of your machine and put the thread spool in it you can then bring the thread up to the top of your machine and thread your machine in usual way. It might be worth investing in a thread stand that goes behind the machine.
