**Q: can you tell me how long the batteries last?**
A: This depends entirely on usage. We have some instances of batteries lasting 6 months and others wherein they last years. But we recommend that they are replaced every 6-7 months

**Q: How high from the floor is the door?  In other words what is the height of the surround from the bottom of the base of the safe to bottom of the door?**
A: Sorry I do not own this product I purchased it for someone else.

**Q: Is the weight of this product only 1 kilogram? How is there such a huge difference with the medium one? Thank you.**
A: This Firesafe has a weight of 28 kg.

**Q: maybe daft question but in the case of a fire would the digital lock on the front melt how would you gain access after**
A: I don’t know-let me set it on fire and I’ll tell you in a bit. Only kidding there is also a key to open the door.
