I’m not exactly a beginner at embroidery, but I’m also not super experienced and I would say this was exactly the level of challenge I was looking for. If you’ve never embroidered before, you might need to look up videos on how to do the different stitches because the pictures included would not be all that helpful, but it’s certainly doable for a beginner. I was pleased with the quality of the thread and the canvas tote. I had no issue with the needles, but I do have an extra supply of needle threaders because they all break at some point. My only complaint was the hoop because it is smooth plastic and I felt it was difficult to get it tight enough and keep the canvas from slipping. The canvas can be a little difficult to pull the thread through with some of the stitches, but the end result is beautiful and worth every bit of effort. Embroidery is cathartic for me and something I enjoy doing while zoning out to a podcast. This kit was perfect for that and the fact that the end product is something I can actually wear made it even better.
