It expands into two sizes, shallow or deep, and collapses when not in use so you can store it anywhere. The inside bottom is textured to keep things from sliding around.I used it in my kitchen sink and washed my little dog in it. He was a small Chihuahua, and it accommodated him perfectly. The sink was too big for him, and he’d slide around because he couldn't grip the sink edge with his paws. With this 'tub' he could grip the edge, so he didn't slide around. I think that gave him a sense of control and eased his anxiety because he started enjoying his bath time. He’s no longer with us but I kept the tub because seeing it brings me happy memories of our time spent together.
