A: It has the appearance of wood and is probably laminate.  There is no stainless apparent.  The look is good.

A: It uses an AA battery.

**Q: How big is the actual face area of the clock? Not the over all size**
A: 8.5 inches of white face, .5 in. gold rim, then wood tone outside frame = 11 in.

Jolie mais c'est subjectif. Par contre; bien imité, MAIS CE N'EST PAS DU BOIS comme indiqué !!! Info mensongère. Dès lors beaucoup trop cher surtout que ce n'est pas du jalonnais mais MADE IN CHINA. La pile qui devrait être fournie brille par son absence. J'hésite à renvoyer.
