They are excelent for putting skates on quick, and keeping that tight fit without loosening on you. I have a big doot so i added 2 more to each of my skates for a more snug heal lock. I didnt think the 3 each would be enough. Bought an extra set and put 5 on each skate. They are easy to put on, but i suggest using a pair of needle knose plyers to hold the base while you tighten the screws otherwise the spin on you. I have skated with them 3 times so far, and so far no loosening of the screws. This was a problem i heard from other users. With the needle knose i got them tighter than normal.I would highly recomend them for any youth junior or adult that doesnt want the hassle of tying skates or laces loosening on you while you skate. Adjustments are quick, no more untying the skate to loosen if over tightened. Just a simple pull on the velcro does the job.

I wish they came with washers or shorter screws. Also it would be nice if they came with a strip of foam tape that ran along the inside of the boot covering the flat nut head as they can bend when tightened and stick out and can scrape your feet. I also wish the screws were not open stainless as the look of hardware on the skate is distracting and if they were powder coated black or some time of black coating and coated washers too then they would be perfect. A little room for improvement but I like them just fine.

I bought these for my son's skates since he isn't strong enough to lace them tightly. I found that the bottom strap is just right, the middle one is "iffy", and the top is a bit too short. I'm using senior size on his junior skates as the junior ones were just too short. They also require a decent amount of strength (more than he has) to "snug" the skates up. They do hold well though.

I have a 19 year old son that has Down Syndrome and struggles with tying laces. The Option B straps allows him to put on his skates on his own with no assistance. He only needed assistance initially to learn how to get them tight enough. Once he got that he became self reliant. Highly recommend!
