It did smell odd for 3-4 months then the smell went and it is excellent. **Q: Does this mattress keep you cool at night?** A: The short answer is no. I think all memory foam mattress toppers make things a little warmer, but for me it is only a very small effect. I certainly wouldn't buy one to get cooler though! **Q: Do they offer this in Ikea sizes? I opened it and yes there was a chemical smell but I left it to air on the bed and flatten out for a few hours. It is lovely and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I suffer with joint pain and since having the topper have started to feel the benefits.
