I say that because I spent a whole hour chasing out a channel in a wall using a hammer and bolster. The channel was only .25 of a metre and I had 7 metres to cut. My arms and my hands hurt, and I did not want to do it anymore.I purchased this tool, and I am so glad I did. After setting the tool up to cut the correct and depth and width, I set about cutting my channel. You pull the tool backwards to make a cut which does seem a bit odd, but you get used to it. Be warned, it makes a lot and I mean a LOT of dust, so attach your vacuum cleaner to the tool with the adapter supplied, you will be glad you did, believe me. I finished my work with the tool within 90 minutes. Fantastic job.I must add that hearing and eye protection is a must.Sadly, the tool supplied to help adjust the width of the cut is made of biscuit tin lid material and is of little use, so be prepared to improvise or supply your own 'key'. That is the only weak link.A good wall chaser let down by the supplied adjustment tool.
